Fandom Engine
Terms of Service
Last updated October 2026
These terms govern your use of Fandom Engine and the purchase of digital 3D files, custom figurines, and cosplay commissions through our service. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. Orders & Deposits
Each figurine order begins with a $50 deposit, which secures your place in the production queue and covers the creation of your proof. Before you approve your proof, the deposit is refundable less non-refundable card processing fees.
Upon approval, the deposit becomes non-refundable and the remaining balance becomes due. If you decline the proof, the deposit is refunded minus non-refundable card processing fees charged by the payment processor.
2. Proof Approval & Revisions
Once your proof is ready, you may approve it, request a revision, or decline. One free revision is included with each order. Additional revisions are billed by custom quote based on the scope of the requested changes.
If we do not receive a response within 30 days of the proof being marked ready, the order may be paused and the deposit held to cover production costs to date.
3. Digital files
Digital 3D model purchases (STL and GLB files) are delivered through secure, expiring download links. STL files are automatically checked for printability before delivery; printability of the mesh does not guarantee print success on your specific printer, and you remain responsible for slicer setup and supports. Digital files are refundable until they have been delivered to you; after delivery, refunds are handled case by case for demonstrable defects.
4. Payment
Payments are collected via Stripe. Deposits and digital purchases are collected at checkout; the remaining figurine balance is collected via a secure Stripe checkout session after you approve your proof. All prices are in the currency shown at checkout.
Refunds, where applicable, exclude non-refundable processing fees charged by the payment processor and are returned to the original payment method.
5. Production & Shipping
Once your final proof is approved and the balance is paid, figurine orders are estimated to ship within the lead time shown at checkout, which includes printing, finishing, and quality inspection. Production dates can vary with capacity.
Shipping costs and timelines are calculated at checkout based on your destination. Fandom Engine is not responsible for carrier delays once an order has been shipped.
6. Cosplay commissions
Cosplay commissions (helmets, armour, props, and costumes) are bespoke, quoted personally by our team after a consultation. The terms of each commission, including deposit, milestones, fitting requirements, and delivery, are those you agree to in writing with our team, and they supplement these terms.
7. Photographs & Intellectual Property
By uploading a photo, you confirm that you own the rights to the image or have permission to use it for the purpose of creating your character and any product you order. You grant us a limited license to use the photo solely for the creation of your character, order, and related proofing.
We do not claim ownership of your photos. Characters and products created from your photos are for personal use unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Limitation of Liability
Fandom Engine provides a custom 3D-printing service. Figurines ship in unpainted resin and may vary slightly from the digital preview. We are not liable for subjective differences in artistic interpretation. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for the order.
9. Contact
For questions about your order, these terms, or anything else, use the contact information provided on our website.
